- Date free textThursday 31 July [1919]
- Production dateFrom: 1919 To: 1919
- Scope and ContentFrom: 62304, A Company, 1/4th Northants, Egyptian Expeditionary Force, Egypt Dear Mama, I have packed my parcel and am sending it tomorrow. Do not be disappointed with it for it is more or less an experiment. The little trinkets are for Maude and Gwen unless you will have one of them. Doubtless they will lose their colour but I think they are worth [redipping?], for they are of ‘Gyppo’ silver. Let me know whether you decide to keep one of them. Of course the tea-cosy side is for you and the hat for Papa, if it will fit him as it should do. I shall bring him a good one soon, when I come home. Perhaps the beads will please some little friend of yours Aimie for instance. I have no news save that I am transferred to ‘A’ Company and can play ‘Drunk to me only etc’ now. Well, good-bye and love to all. Yours lovingly Cyril
