Letter from W Matthews to T J Hooper regarding Llewellyn E Smith. Writer has just had a confidential call from Mr Jones of Jones Bros. He informs the writer that they hold £20 - £30 of L E Smith. As Mortgagees, they have sold the vessel 'Village Belle', and think if an application is made at once to Smith, an order may be obtained for whatever balance they hold towards the debt. It must be done at once, and their names as giving the information must not transpire.
