Letter from Robert W Griffith to Thomas J Hooper. Mr Murphy has made an offer of £152 for the stock, fixtures and furniture belonging to the estate. Has written to the trustee submitting the proposal, and failing his approval must instruct auctioneers to sell the goods. The debtor wrote Mr Forbes several imploring letters begging to be allowed to purchase through a friend, but no friend appears to be forthcoming. The writer has found out the history of the £45 bill. Gives details. ‘Mr Bixby declined to give any information respecting the bill and no entry of it appears in the debtor’s books.’
