Letter from William Robins Matthews to T J Hooper. Sorry to hear of Hooper's cough, and suggests extra underclothing. 'Cream cures my cough, and as I can take any reasonable quantity, it is a very nice medicine.'

'I have written to the following persons and places, all who know John thinks he has not deceived and that is our firm conviction - Scotland Yard asking to his a detective but they could not spare one to work out of London. Sandy - you know the reply Grosvenor Hotel - ditto Victoria Station, Charing Cross, Ludgate Hill, Cannon Street, Calais vice consul [2 further French addresses] all know nothing. Head of Police Paris wrote this day.' Is taking the new premises for the whole of Gething's time. Lord Tredagar is the first lessor. Thinks Hooper's alterations to the draft lease are very good.
