Letter from George Fothergill to Thomas Cordey, High Street, Newport, enclosing letter from J F Fawckner [HF90/3/1/6/20], indicating that the wall in question is clearly the property of Fothergill. '...if you are willing to admit that the wall is my property I am willing as a neighbourly act towards you at my own expense to run up a brick wall on your land to support the roof of your kitchen but I must proceed with my alteration involving the pulling down of the old Malthouse wall without any further delay.'
