- Scope and ContentYou will remember that in my last letter of the 22nd May last I informed you that subject to the approval of the Town Council, the Public Works Committee are prepared to negotiate for the acquisition of the above mention property and in the event of the Corporation purchasing, will be prepared to renew Messrs. Stafford, Rogers & A. W. Merry’s lease on terms to be agreed, and that subsequently you informed me that the Trustees would be prepared to consider any offer which the Publics Works Committee cared to submit. The Committee will be obliged if you will be so good as to ask whether the Trustees are prepared to accept an offer of Two Thousand Pounds (£2.000). The negotiations are subject to the approval of the Council and to the issue of the Necessary loan sanction by the Ministry of Health.
