I discussed this matter with the Public Works Committee at a meeting yesterday afternoon and, subject to the approval of the Council, they are prepared to negotiate for the acquisition of the property and in, the event of the corporation purchasing, would, I understand, be prepared to renew Messrs, Stafford, Rogers and Merry’s lease to be agreed with them. If the Trustees are prepared to negotiate with the Corporation will you please let me have a plan of the site and, if possible, a copy of the present lease.
