Bill from Charles Pym, MP, for swearing in 43 special constables at Everton, 7 at Sandy and 17 at Girtford on 4 December [connected with the Swing Riots?]. 32 constables were on durty at Everton from 9pm on December 9th until 7.30am the next morning. 24 quarts of beer were ordered. 14 constables from Everton attended a fire at Potton from 6.30 to 9.30pm on December 11th, and 24 constables were on duty at the same time in Everton. 26 constables from Sandy also attended the Potton fire. Each constable at the fire received 2s.6d,and 16s.6d was paid for "liquor for the constables at the Crown, Potton - after the fire". Total £15.5s.6d.
