Information taken before Thomas, Lord Grantham, and the Most Noble John, Duke of Bedford, by Householders of the county of Bedford. "Which said several persons on their respective Oaths declare that Tumult and Riot are likely to take place and may reasonably be apprehended within the county of Bedford, and they request that a sufficient number of persons may be appointed to act as special constables for such time and in such manner as to the Justices of the said County shall seem fit and necessary for the preservation of the public peace, and for the prevention and suppression of any Tumult Riot and Felony".
