Letter from W. E. Sowter, Mayor to Trustees of the Hawes No 1 Charity.

In accordance with instructions given by the Trustees at their meeting on December 4th, with reference to the appointment of a Co-operative Trustee in place of Mr. G. C. walker, deceased, I beg to inform you that Mr. H. Ball has been good enough to accept the office. Mr. Charles Franklin and Dr. W.A. Sharpin did not attend the meeting. I was instructed to ask whether they were desirous of continuing their office of Co-optative Trustees. Dr. Sharpin expressed his willingness to serve. Mr Franklin regrets that he is unable to attend and asks to be relieved of the duty, therefore Mr. W. Dazeley has accepted the office.
