    Devises to sons Thomas and William and daughters Elizabeth and Mary (having formerly given them sufficient portions) 10/- apiece to buy rings. to wife Mary £100, and quarterly payments from the following lands for her support and for bringing up of her younger children till they reach age 21; lands in Ampthill and Maulden and meadow in Millbrook, and 8 acres in Flitton purchased from William Parles to son Michael lands in Flitwick bought of John Sibley; testator intends to surrender to manor of Ampthill his copyhold lands for the admission thereto of son Michael; also to son Michael all other freehold lands in Ampthill which were his father's. Devises to son Richard messuage and lands in Wilshamstead bought of George Warner; to son John 2 messuages in Pulloxhill now in the occupation of Edward Carter and John Manfield, and lands appertaining to them, and mill and land in Millbrook. To daughter Sarah £600 at age of 18. To daughters Alice and Anne £500 at age 18. Sons Thoms and William are to sell Ampthill lands not devised to Michael, and Flitton, Maulden and Millbrook lands to raise these portions; but wife Mary is to have the Ampthill malting during her life if she remains a widow.
