- Scope and ContentThe event so soon to take place eventually will prove a gain rather than a loss, rejoices to hear of Harriet's happy prospect. My children all well & Happy, have however suffered much anxiety on account of Brother & family, the disagreeable occurence during the Northumberland Election had scarcely subsided when Brother called upon to attend a dying son [Thomas Grey]. He was nearly 16, died after a few days' illness, of brain fever, brought on by having been exposed to excessive heat without a hat. Brother left Lady Grey in Town to be out of way of Election but rejoined her on this melancholy event.
