    Asks SW to be a trustee for his grandchildren after their grandmother's decease. Describes atrocious conduct of his son George, who as paymaster misappropriated public funds to his own use; his father in law - a clergyman - was one of the sureties, & to pay up the misappropriated money would have ruined him. He has has therefore taken over the payment, as well as his own share as surety. Warns SW against lending money to George, as he has applied to several people for loans.
