Lord Archibald Hamilton should be reminded of the case of the postmaster of Lanark at the election of magistrates in 1802, John Lamb, voter; without any reason removed by Lord Advocate to Orkney. Lord Melville is stopping a commission signed by the King, as he wants the place for someone else. Strong measures needed to relieve the country from the Lord Advocate's tyranny. Other accusations against Hope & Melville.
