Ferdinand entered Spain by Valencia, where he received no support; did not hesitate till he met Gen. Elio, altho' the Cortes decreed that he should not be recognised till we had come to Madrid. Sir Arthur Wellesley went down to Valencia, which convinced him he had nothing to fear.
