Scope and Content
Gives account of unjust treatment; was court-martialled for objecting to items in his pay account; sentenced to 200 lashes. On refusing to sign accounts; was sentenced by court-martial to a further 300 lashes, of which he only received 200 (400 in all). On continuing to refuse to sign, he was put on a man-of-war & sent home. Has never had pay settled.
