Is arranging with Coutts to send £100. The Granvilles have been staying. Writer's wife has been in bed for 2 days with influenza, but is now recovered. Daughter Henrietta is coming to visit with her two daughters. Northland [Thomas Knox, later 2nd Earl of Ranfurly] is in Madeira; writer prays that his health improves. General news of Cambridge University life, including rowing. Planting of a plantation which will increase the game birds. Reference to shooting; poaching, hunting, etc. Several references to Jonathan [Rashleigh?], who has been staying [at Aldenham?], and also to Belsey.
