Remarks about the weather and crops. Refers to the poor health of William Penn and Northland [Thomas Knox, later 2nd Earl of Ranfurly]. Hibbert is in London and has been unwell. Writer has bought a horse and orfered a brougham. Parker has joined his regiment in the west of Ireland. Had a very good muster at Bedford to open the Stuart Lodge [freemasonry].
