[Isabella Penn, nee Forbes]. William Penn [Isabella's son] is better. William Astell has died and no one has come forward to take his place as MP for Bedfordshire. Prince Albert succeeded in beating Lord Purvis for the Chancellorship of Cambridge University. William has been elected a member of the Cotton Club. Mention of Free Masons meetings. Note at end from writer's wife, Henrietta, thanking William for present.
