The sheer stone walls of this spectactular mountain rise 2447 feet above the floor of the canyon." Published by Intermountain Tourist Supply Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, credited to Mike Roberts Berkeley 94710, no. B2073. Stamped with a 15c stamp. Franked "FREDONIA AZ. 86022 SEP 23 PM 1971". "Grand Canyon. I am steadily ploughing my way through the National Parks - into stupendous scenery. Friends met me in Los Angeles and took me off to an outdoor dinner party at friends - illuminated gardens - I got back to my hotel at 3a.m. I am feeling very tired, and shall welcome the peace of the castle. We finish up in Washington next weekend. J.H." [note on card: "received 29th".]
