Scope and Content
In consequence of steps taken on above, Capper became alarmed, & begged Mrs. Speed to soften the charges; which she did; but Capper wrote to New South Wales vilifying writer's character; gives names of persons who will testify that Capper makes a practice of debauching the wives & sisters of convicts under pretence of getting favours for them; & for the same reasons interests himself in getting pardons for them.
