"After a night of welcome storms and rain, the air is cool after the terrific heat of the past week. The lake of Garda is very beautiful dotted with villages along sides and wonderful flowers everywhere. We explored Brescia, the city of the Province, yesterday. Next Saturday to opera in the Roman Arena at Verona. I leave here to visit my friend MacGregor-Hastie on Aug 29 in the mountains bordering Austria, then I hope to visit Mantua, Parma and Cremona before returning to K. I hope your good summer continues.
