    The land taken included Ordnance Survey field numbers 103 & 104 and 171, which had formed part of the tenancies of Alexander Randall (Lamcourt End Farm) and Jack Chesham (Marshes). The correspondence refers to: clearing out of 'the Big Brook'; whether the rent and rates should be payable to the landlord or to Randall and Chesham; and the valuation when possession is withdrawn [the War Agricultural Committee may claim for all acts of cultivation or adaptation for cultivation]. Also reference to incoming tenant Thomas Smith and A E Stocker, the resident steward for Col W D Stuart.
