"I have often passed it in the train and said "one day I will get out and really look at it", and now I have. It is really quite extraordinary, and even amusing! I am slowly wending my way home. My tenants are in America, so I shall have my flat to myself. I expect to be in England Oct & Nov. Off again in December, not sure where yet. I saw the par. in the Telegraph about Andrew's book. I should like a copy to send to the Nichols in America who called on me in 1945 (on his way to D-Day). He said he was a descendant of the N. family. On to Carvora tomorrow, then Paris, then home. I have seen so many wonderful things in Italy, I feel quite drunk! J.H."
