Rev. Saint John Priest: account of his residence in his parish until he obtained a licence for non-residence from W Wright, secretary to the Bishop of Norwich. The licence was never delivered although he paid £3. 12. 0. for it. Mr. W. Wright then commenced an action against him for non residence, for which the penalties amounted to £1300, but offered to compromise for 1/3 of this sum.
