    Legend on the back reads "The Tweed at Bemersyde, Roxburghshire, Scotland. Looking towards the Eildon Hills. this was Sir Walter Scott's favourite view of the Border landscape.". Stamped with a 2 1/2d stamp and franked "Hawick, Roxburghshire 8PM 17 AUG 1961". Reads as: "Here I am, with the Staverts till September, enjoying heatherclad hills and running streams and good company: a houseparty of 18. I did not get to Sweden, but was busy entertaining throughout June and July. Hope you are having a nice holiday. J.H."
