Today heavy showers have interrupted my picking of wild strawberries and raspberries, of which there is an abundance. The house is filling up for the 12th. I enjoy the views of hills, woods and heather after so much sea: though I miss the wonder Thanet air! I remain here till the end of August. J.H."
