    Since making last Will and testament, has purchased divers copyhold, freehold and leashold lands, tenements and hereditaments... - all fee farm rents, quit rents, messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments in Bedfordshire purchased since the making of Will, and freeholds, copyholds and leaseholds bequeathed to cousin Robert Kendall [later known as Robert Cater], an alderman of the city of London. 6 Apr 1739 Administration granted to Dame Mary Cater, widow, the relict and sole executor and residuary legatee in the Will of Sir Robert Cater, who had died before proving the Will of John Cater. 3 Apr 1756 administration granted to Mary Cater, spinster, daughter and only child of Dame Mary Cater
