    - messuage or tenement with appurtenances in Kempston with close or pyghtle of pasture adjoining and 7 acres 3 roods arable in the common fields, which messuage then divided into 2 tenements was in the tenures of Thomas Carris and William Cherry, then Thomas Hawley, and the pyghtle and arable land was late in the tenure of William Dudley, then Thomas Hawley. King Taylor was admitted to the premises 6 Oct 1791 on the surrender of John Harding and Margaret his wife, under yearly rent of 3s 6d. Under Will of King Taylor, dated 30 Sep 1800, [WY1033/3/17] all lands were devised to his wife Mary for life, and following her death, lands in Kempston to nephew King Taylor. Said Mary Taylor was admitted tenant of the premises for her life 13 Oct 1802, and is since deceased. 6 Nov 1804 Commissioners for Inclosure of Kempston awarded to King Taylor the grand nephew as full compensation for all his copyhold lands, right of common and other rights and interests: - all that piece of ground in Postley Field containing 1 acre 3 roods 14 perches [bounds given]; - parcel of land in Ham Field containing 5 acres and 18 perches exchanged with Francis Green for piece of land called Up End Close with the house and buildings thereon situated at Up End, Kempston, containing 2 acres 2 roods 35 perches [bounds given]
