- Scope and ContentEnquires if Widow Bromley [error for Brimley] is living at Cardington and if she had a son Samuel, apprenticed to an engine-maker, who afterwards went out to the colony of Berbice as an engineer to a steam engine. If she is living she should apply to Mr C Cort for two or three hundred pounds, the property of the son who has died. The boy was placed by the late Mr. Whitbread and presumably came from the workhouse.
