Sadler claims that the property was copyhold and was made freehold by conveyance of the fee simple by the lord of the manor, thereby extinguishing common rights Farre now pays £12.7s..6d and agrees to pay rent of 1d for the following common rights:- 9 cows, oxen etc. in the Fen (40 acres) and other commonable places (except Pigges Park, 10 acres, which is to be enclosed by Sadler by agreement) at all times of the year 9 cows, oxen etc., 90 sheep and 6 horses, mares or geldings in all commonable places at all times (except in Pigges Park; and except in the Fen which may be used only between 1 August and 25 March) Right to keep hogs and swine on commonable places Right to dig clay, gravel and sand for his own use Right to lay timber where his predecessors were used to do
