- Scope and ContentKing is seised of a messuage and 3½ yard lands and has claimed common for all cattle levant and couchant in the Fen and other commonable places. Sadler claims that this property was copyhold and was made freehold by conveyance of the fee simple by the lord of the manor [by implication thereby extinguishing the common rights] King now pays £13..15s and agrees to pay an annual rent of 1d for the following common rights:- 10 cows, oxen or heifers in the Gen (40 acres) and all other commonable places (except 10 acres called Pigges Park which is to be enclosed by Sadler, by agreement with King) 10 cows etc., 105 sheep and 7 horses, geldings or mares, in all commonable places at all times (except in the 10 acres called Pigges Park; and except in the Fen which may only be used from 1 August to 25 March) Right to keep hogs and swine on commonable places Right to dig sand and gravel for his own use Right to lay timber where his predecessors were used to do
