"Just a note to thank you very much for your kind thought of my birthday and for the lovely cards. It has been another week of scramble and frustration, but we got Miss Florence home yesterday, and though she is weak she can walk about and get up and down stairs without help, so we feel it won't be long before she is back at work again. According to weather reports, we have still another week after this to go through before there is a change in the weather. It will be like rising from the grave.
