"I quite forgot to mention the subject of the Sunday School Teachers' Service on Saturday, having so many other things to see to lately. There is a tea at the Drum afterwards, and Captain Woolf is running it. Do any of our teachers want to go? I am afraid that neither the Rector of Dunstable nor I will be there, as Sir Anthony has invited us to go in to tea with him. Sir Anthony used to run over to Dunstable Priory on Sunday mornings before the war, and he has often told me he would like to meet Clarkson, who was up at New College, Oxford, with me, and whom I know well. (He is leaving to be Rector of Skegness next month.) I understand there are 3 from Haynes, 4 from Maulden, and 3 from Flitwick so far. It's rather late to begin running round to find out how many of our teachers want to go, but if you do happen to see any of them and they say they would like to have their tea, will you let Captain Woolf know the number? Yours sincerely,"
