"Many thanks for rounding up the Missionary Boxes. I have not seen Billington since last Sunday: but I think it would be as well to fix the 20th for a S.S. meeting, here at S. Joseph's (we will pack in somehow) at 6 p.m. Will you tell Bill, if I miss him on Sunday. I have received the food permit from the Food Office. I enclose it for your inspection. I think we decided on the School Canteen for Jan. 2nd. I shall be glad to welcome the new choirboys - all of them - on Sunday: also young Churchill. I have been indoors all the week with a violent internal chill which has turned my insides inside out - so I have not dared to venture forth. I feel like the "wreck of the Hesperus". Three kinds of medicine have failed to achieve any result. Yours sincerely,"
