[See also L 30/15/5/11-13 and L 30/15/49/21 & 28]. Too weak & low to acknowledge letter sooner. Ignorance of what passes at Post Office. Lord Carteret will not be in Town until next Monday. Lord Tankerville in Town yesterday conferring with Mr. Pitt about the confusion the Office is in due to "insolence, ignorance & obstinacy of Mr. [John] Palmer & his plan". Thinks Lord Tankerville will be at Office tomorrow, check whether there will be a board or not.
