Further to above [L 30/15/5/12] Lord Grantly has met with Mr. Todd & recommended Mrs. Haddons to be appointed Post Master upon grounds that she has executed the relevant duty's for many years. Robinson informed by Post Master's General of custom of appointing person who has formerly been carrying out business, despite fact they wished to comply with his wishes. Pressed for Mr. Turner in preference to Mrs. Haddons. Asks for information, to be acquired discreetly, about Mrs. Haddons' previous experience with regard to Post Office work .
