- Scope and ContentGeneral information about the opening and closing of the school, staff absences, appointments and resignations, number of boys attending camp at Little Gaddesden, sporting achievements and visits to and from the school. Pupils are only mentioned by name on rare occasions and then only when they have received awards for sport. The pupils are regularly taken on trips to London and Paris. 22 July 1949 received information that John Warren a pupil of form 3a drowned on holiday. 20 Jan 1950 Mr W J Emery, who has rendered loyal service as a member of this staff died this morning from heart-failure. Open days held in respect of the Festival of Britain. 17 Oct 1951 Thirty boys from Form II have been permitted to go potato picking permission has been received from the Bedfordshire Agricultural Committee. This year only 5 school days are permitted. [per pupil 31 boys from Form IV went on the 26 Oct as the first 30 returned to school] June 1953 Coronation celebrations. 15 June 1954 G E Tripp retired as head master and was presented with an arm chair by the mayor of Luton. 7 Sept 1954 E Whitaker opens school as head master. 14 July 1955 'This was the last time that we shall meet as Denbigh Rd CSM Boys' school as on Sept 6th we join with the Girls' School to form the first Co-Educational Secondary Modern School in the town under my command E Whitaker, Headmaster.'
