    Edmund Norwood of Northampton, esquire, to Thomas Fitzieffrey of Houghton Conquest, gentleman and wife Mary, and William and George Fitzieffrey (sons of Thomas Fitzieffrey) … a messuage and pightle called "Medes" (lately purchased of David Cawne and others), in Wilshamstead, Cotton and Houghton Conquest, between the messuage of John Cawne junior on East, and the highway from Wilshamstead to Bedford on West, and abutting South on a common lane or street; 4 closes of pasture in Wilshamstead, viz: a close (2 acres) between close of said John Cawne on East, and the common highway to Bedford on West, abutting North on ground of said John Cawne; a close (4 acres) called Queene Crofte, between the fields of Wilshamstead on North, and land of John Cawne and others on South, abutting West on said highway, and East on the fields of Wilshamstead; a close (7 acres) between the fields of Wilshamstead on East, and land of Henry Smythe on West, abutting South on the common lane or street of Wilshamstead, and North on the fields of Wilshamstead; and the other close (2 acres) between the land of John Warner on West, and of John Cawne junior in occupation of Thomas Barnes and Thomas Fentyman on East, abutting South on the common lane, and North on the fields of Wilshamstead; also 2 acres ½ rood in the common meadows of Wilshamstead called Southe and North Meadows; and 58 acres in the fields of Wilshamstead (described in terrier attached [fully abstracted in Appendix at end of catalogue]) Witnesses: Tyringham Norwood, William Awdley, Richard Joye and Thomas Shott [armorial seal]
