    i) Elizabeth Ridgway, Leighton Buzzard John Cotching, Leamington, Warwickshire, draper ii) Edward Hall, Leighton Buzzard, confectioner Reciting will of Robert Cotching dated 2 December 1862 by which he devised all his freehold estates to use of sister Elizabeth Ridgway and nephew John Cotching in trust for sale. Copyhold estates also to be disposed of by trustees. Robert Cotching died on 15 March 1864. Will proved (Northampton) on 28 October 1864 Reciting conveyance of 15 February 1865 a) Eliza Cotching (widow of John Cotching deceased) b) Elizabeth Ridgway John Cotching consideration £350 a) released to b) ... dower right and title of dower or freebench which she might have in any of the copyhold cottages of her late husband in Leighton Buzzard or Heath, or rents etc. of same cottages i) caused properties to be put up for sale at the Unicorn Inn, Leighton Buzzard on 9 December 1864 in 11 lots at which sale ii) was purchaser of Lot 8 for £280 now in consideration of £280 paid by ii) to i) i) appoint that ... messuage divided into 3 tenements in the North End of Leighton Buzzard once in occupation of James Saunders senior, James Saunders junior, Thomas Eames and since of Edward Pointer, Elizabeth Saunders and Francis Sanders, two of which are now in the occupation of Thomas Parrott and the other of Thomas Walker, with land behind each cottage ... right of way and use of well and privy to be held of the Lord of the Manor of Leighton Buzzard otherwise Grovebury freed from the right to dower of Eliza Cotching signed: i) endorsed receipt witness: Frederick Willis, solicitor, Leighton Buzzard declaration that deed was made according to the custom of the Manor, with twelve signatures [crossed out]
