    Admission of James Saunders senior and wife Mary, on the surrender of Arthur Clarke, late of Leighton Buzzard and now of Great Brickhill, Buckinghamshire, esquire (who was devisee of the will of Arthur Matthews, late of Leighton Buzzard, gentleman, expectant on the decease of Lettice wife of said Arthur Matthews) and in consideration of £150 paid to Arthur Clarke by said James Saunders senior, to ... messuage now divided into 3 late in occupation Thomas Elliott and John Dumbledine, and now in occupation said James Saunders senior, James Saunders junior, and Thomas Eames, in North End of Leighton Buzzard ... yard adjoining and also adjoining a close of garden ground lately belonging to said messuage and purchased by James Saunders junior which said messuage, with garden and 14 acres common field land was purchased of Edward Coleman, and William Powell and wife Ann North and East: lane leading to premises of John Saunders and to Quarry Pit Close South and West: cottage etc. of Thomas Iredale West: fronting street called the North End or Street to which said messuage and yard said Arthur Clarke was admitted at court held on 30, 31 October 1788 as devised in will of said John Salusbury Land is held freed from land tax
