    'Concert and Writing Room, Y.M.C.A., Houghton Regis, Beds'. This was situated on the east side of The Green for military personnel 1914-18. A stage, with piano, is dressed by curtains and potted palms are on either side. Cloth covered tables with chairs are set in three rows filling the roomspace. Published in the Loweth Series by Sanbride Press.

    The addressee is "Miss Winnie Clacy Fircote Finchampstead Wokingham Berks" and the message reads: " 21 - 6 - 17 Dear Winnie I hope you let the Dr see your throat then he will soon make it better. I have just got mother's letter saying you were busy mowing the lawn, you will make it look smart for me to see. Just had a letter from Auntie Lizzie and she says the boys are alright. Bobs has grown big and fat, and Uncle Tom has joined the "Sunday Soldiers". Give my love to Grandma + Grandad + mother and love and kisses to you from your loving Daddy xxxx".
