- Scope and Content- a messuage in Stanbridge, wherein John Honnor formerly dwelt; Penley Close (1 acre) and Moors Close (4 acres), adjoining land late of William Ellingham, now William Twidell, and field ground called Bletchwell; late in occupation William Ellingham, and now of Joseph Goss. Note by Mr F G Gurney of Claridge's, Eggington 15 July 46, on Bletchwell (NC57-58; NC67-68): "Bletchwell must be the very large (and formerly open) field in which the very curious spring now called Brettch'll (? Breach Well) exists - far from any house, old or new, and just below the Romano-British site upon Harlington Hill, west of the village. It formed the water-supply of the Roman site. All the property named was in Gurney's hands in 1842, but belonged to Thomas Twidell, presumably successor of William Twidell"
