Lady St John's fatal illness. Has persuaded her to consult Dr Penrose of Hatfield. Advisability of hurrying on Margaret's marriage with Mr. Pell. Margaret and Lady St John do not get on well together, the former showing a want of feeling towards her mother. She would be better married and away.
