Fears public opinion is vulnerable on the letter which the Princess is said to have written to Mitford. Hopes to be able to carry the address, but it would be a triumph if a contradiction to the letter could be established. Urges the point must be cleared up to convince the enemies; friends need no convincing. Implores that the ladies round Princess should not commit to paper any of her affairs, even for their friends.
