- Scope and ContentI have desired Mr Dagge to wait on your lordship with an account as far as can be yet made out of the state of my late Lord's affairs. I am much concerned the deficiency appears so great, greater than my poor lord himself expected. Nothing gave him so much anxiety and concern. Whatever indiscretions there might have been in the first setting-out, respecting the hounds and the farm, various accidents since, the journey to Nice, the lingering and expensive illness etc. have prevented the discharge of the debts.
