- Scope and ContentMama better, pulse near right, can stand and move much more easily; not yet walk and go downstairs. Cold hung about a long while, and though increased by accident not occasioned by it. Papa would not be satisfied without calling in Dr Warren, but as he agreed with Mr Halifax that Mama was much better he only wrote some trifling prescription. Death of Lady Sophia Egerton about 6 a.m. Sir Abraham Hume called on Papa today to express the Bishop of Durham's desire that she might be buried at Flitton; Mr Cox wrote accordingly; can't yet tell you when mourning is to be put on. Mama says all worked muslins and gauzes are fit for this kind of mourning but not lace and blond, tho' the latter perhaps may not signify when you are alone; black buckles of course. Duel between Lord Shelburne and Mr Fullerton. Bishop and family much pleased with visit to you.
