Acknowledges kind letter of Howard. Hears from a Captain Imery that the journey to Cherson is a very bad one. Poor at Cardington in good order. Slave trade brought up in Parliament. Test Act may be repealed. Warren Hastings's trial not likely to be finished this session, poor man. Corn continues dear. Warns him against the plague.
