    1. Will of Edward Wadman of Wingfield, Wiltshire, [see X363/1/191] note in margin: “I apprehend that Little Sheep Mead which is in parish of Farleigh would not pass under this description”. “Nothing appears to shew that Little Sheep Mead is not in parish of Wingfield. Some time after Mr Richardson became incumbent of Farleigh he claimed the Tithes of this and some other lands in Wingfield. They have been paid to him but whether he had an exact claim or not was never tried but if he had that does not prove the land to be in parish of Farleigh as the poor and church rates always have been paid to Wingfield parish.” 2.
