To eldest son, John, £5 to be paid when testator’s son, James, receives his legacy from his uncle John; To wife Mary, all that she brought testator, both land and moveables; To daughter, Edith, £2, to be paid within one year of testator’s death; To her two daughters, £2 each on reaching 12 years old; To younger son, John £10 on reaching 21, 3 acres ½ rood arable of which 1 acre is in Staploe Field, in long piece between the prickway hedges, and 1 acre in Homebrook, abutting on Lulway Riddey, ½ acre ½ rood in Long Croft and ½ acre in Duloe Stocking. If John dies before reaching 21, land to go to James; To daughter Elizabeth, £20, £10 of which to be paid on reaching 21, and other £10 three years afterwards; To daughter Alice, £30 on reaching 21; To son James, cottage, late Barbary Topham, [As in X363/1/14], and all rest testator’s lands and possessions; Appoints son, James, sole executor Witnesses: Joseph Bassett Mark of Daniel Enfield Mark of Elizabeth Dennis
